On the left front of the note is an oval side-profile portrait of Alexander Hamilton, and to the right is a depiction of 'Liberty' as a Greco-Roman Warrior Goddess complete with Sword & Shield (Serial# A3408650A). On the reverse are rug-designs & a lengthy description of the penalties for counterfeiting. Fine Condition, with a miniscule missing top right corner. $875.00.

29. Two Dollars in Coin, United States Treasury Note, Series of 1891 (Tillman/Morgan) Red Seal, Serial Number: B9333669,(Legal Tender Act of July 14, 1890). Major-General McPherson was the highest ranking Union soldier to give his life during the war between the states. Notes like this one are becoming increasingly hard to find. VG/F. $795.00

Alexander Hamilton is portrayed on the right, and an Indian Maid (a predecessor to the Statue of Liberty)- who is presently atop our nation's capitol building cupola, is on the left. The note is of average circulation, and bears many pinholes, which is typical for most still in existence after more than 140 years! $800.00
